Fire breaks out at Rajouri Garden shop, hotel in Chhatarpur; no injuries
Two fires occurred in west and south Delhi on Sunday, causing no injuries. Both were extinguished swiftly by fire services, with no fatalities reported.
New Delhi: Two separate fire incidents were reported in west and south Delhi on Sunday, but no deaths or injuries were reported, said fire department officials.

The first fire broke out at a garment shop at Rajouri Garden main market in west Delhi. The fire control room received a call at 3.55pm about the incident, following which nine fire tenders were dispatched, said Delhi Fire Services (DFS).
“The fire erupted in a lahanga-chunni showroom at the first floor of the building comprising ground floor and two upper floors,” said a fire officer. Firefighters brought the fire under control in about an hour, while cooling operations continued till late evening.
The second fire was reported at a closed OYO hotel at Ambedkar Colony in south Delhi’s Chhatarpur. The control room received a call at 6.11pm and six fire tenders controlled the blaze in less than an hour, officials said.
“Fire was confined to mattresses in the basement of the building, which has a basement, ground floor and four upper floors,” the officer added.
