Man, 21, severely injured after car hits autorickshaw in Kalindi Kunj

Shivam Pandey, a computer science student from Jaitpur, was thrown out of an auto after a speeding car rammed it. Police have booked the driver for rash driving.

A 21-year-old man is critically injured after he fell out of an autorickshaw as it was hit by a car in south east Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj on Tuesday night. Police have registered a case and begun a probe.

The victim identified as Shivam Pandey, resident of Jaitpur, is studying computer science from a private college.

According to an officer aware of the matter, Pandey took an auto from outside Kalindi Kunj metro station for his home around 9pm. When he reached near Kanchan Kunj, a speeding car hit the autorickshaw, and the impact was such that Pandey fell out of the auto on the road.

The auto driver allegedly fled the spot and Pandey was rushed to AIIMS where he is undergoing treatment.

Police said that a case on charges of rash driving and causing hurt was registered and investigation was taken up. The accused is yet to be arrested.
