Five wanted Maoists surrender to Maharashtra Police

Five Maoists, who collectively carried a bounty of Rs 12 lakh on their heads, surrendered before the authorities in Gadchiroli in Maharashtra, police said on Monday.

Five Maoists, who surrendered to Maharashtra Police, were aged between 20 and 30 years, and the collective reward for the capture amounted to Rs 12 lakh. (PTI)

They are Karan alias Dulsa Peka Naraote (23) from Etapalli, Sharda Rina Wate Pungatai (20), Darju Kulla Usendi (23), Raiji Nallsu Gawde (30) and Pravin Vilas Kulla (30), Gadchiroli Police said.

The group are accused of a number of criminal offences, including murder, arson, illegal possession of arms and encounter with police in the past, it added.
