We are still testing over 3,000 samples on a daily basis. We are also laying stress on other immunisation programmes. We have also asked our teams to collect data for the eligible population in the 12-14 age group and gradually prepare them for Covid-19 vaccination.”

The health department is also observing a special immunisation week from March 7-13 and routine vaccines are being given to children up to the age of 16 years.
