Missing woman found dead in Gurugram building after 3 days
A 22-year-old woman, Madhu, missing for three days, was found dead in Gurugram. Police suspect foul play after a gunshot injury; investigations continue.
A 22-year-old married woman who had been missing for the past three days was found dead inside the bathroom of a private building in Gurugram’s Manesar area on Sunday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Madhu, a native of Hansaka village in Rewari district. Police said she had married Manesar resident around a year ago and had been living with him since then, police said.
According to police, neighbours alerted authorities after noticing a foul smell coming from a building on Kasan Khoh Road. When police opened a locked bathroom inside the premises, they found Madhu’s body in a partially decomposed state.
Preliminary investigation suggests the woman may have been killed several days ago and the body was allegedly hidden to conceal the crime. Police said the deceased appeared to have suffered a gunshot injury to the head, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed after postmortem examination.
Family members told police that Madhu had been missing since May 21 and a missing person complaint had already been lodged. Police said the woman’s husband and members of her in-laws’ family are being questioned.
