On the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birth anniversary, an NGO Kalyanam Karoti distributed assistive devices to people with disabilities at Shri Deenbandhu Eye Hospital in Ayodhya on Monday.

The campaign was conducted in 2 phases in Lucknow and Ayodhya, wherein the organisation gave away 90 tricycles, 100 sewing machines, 10 pairs of crutches and 8 wheelchairs to over 65 disabled women. Blankets were also provided to 51 people in Lucknow as a part of this campaign. The first phase was conducted on December 25.

Meanwhile, Vishwa Kayastha Sansthan, which recently inaugurated its first state unit, held a memorial service on the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birth anniversary on Monday. Former bureaucrat Alok Ranjan, who is the president of the U.P. unit, garlanded Netaji’s portrait and spoke about his great contributions to the freedom movement and that youth should take inspiration from the life he led. Other senior members of the Sansthan, including the national executive president, senior vice president, coordinators, vice presidents, secretary, joint secretary were also present at this event.
