Narrow escape for passengers as moving bus turns into fireball in Lucknow

Narrow escape: The Lucknow Police media cell said that the bus was coming from Gonda when it caught fire, apparently due to an electrical fault.

Some 20 passengers had a narrow escape when a moving UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus erupted in flames near the Fun Republic mall, on Lohia Path, here on Tuesday morning. Police officials said that the alert driver saved the passengers as he immediately stopped the bus by the roadside and vacated it.

The UPSRTC has been informed about the incident to investigate and set-up enquiry in the incident that put the passengers’ lives in danger.
