Mumbai local train services to be affected due to ‘mega’ block on these routes today: Check details
The Mumbai local train services between Matunga-Mulund Up and Down fast lines, Up and Down slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations, Vadala Road-Mankhurd Up and Down harbour lines will be affected on Sunday.
The Mumbai local trains services on some of the routes will face temporary disruption on Sunday as the Indian Railways will operate ‘mega’ blocks to carry out maintenance works. The scheduled block will affect the train services for the passengers travelling between Matunga-Mulund Up and Down fast lines, Up and Down slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations, Vadala Road-Mankhurd Up and Down harbour lines but alternative travel options have been provided by the administration.

Up and Down slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations
“To carry out the maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of five hours will be taken on Up and Down slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 on Sunday February 5,” a statement by the Western Railway administration read.

The Western Railways planned block will begin at 10:35 am onwards for about five hours. "During this period, all Up and Down slow line trains will run on fast lines between Borivali and Goregaon and no trains will be operated from platform number 1,2,3 and 4 at the Borivali station in the block period," the administration said.
“Due to the block the Up and Down suburban services will remain cancelled and some of the Borivali locals will run up to Goregaon station”.

Up and Down fast lines between Matunga-Mulund from 11.05 am to 3.55 pm
As per the information provided by IRCTC helpdesk website, the Down fast lines services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai during the 10:25 am to 3:35 pm will be diverted on the Down slow lines between Matunga-Mulund as per their schedule while the fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted on Down fast line at Mulund and will arrive at destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
The Up fast line services leaving Thane between 10:56 am and 3:46 pm will be first diverted on the Up slow line between Matunga-Mulund as per the schedule halt and then will be re-diverted at Up fast line at Matunga, leading to an expected delay of 15 minutes at the arrival destination.
Vadala Road-Mankhurd Up and Down harbour lines from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
The Down harbour line services Panvel, Belapur, Vashi leaving CSMT between 10:03 am and 3:54 pm and Up line services towards CSMT from these stations between 9:40 am and 3:28 pm will remain cancelled on Sunday. However, train services between CSMT and Bandra/ Goregaon will run as usual, the IRCTC helpdesk website said.
The administration also said that special suburban trains will run on Panvel-Mankhurd section during the block period for the passengers’ convenience and they are permitted to travel via Trans harbour/main line from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
