The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) said the on-site team quickly handled the smoke detected at the station. As a safety precaution, the station was briefly evacuated, and trains skipped the CSMIA T2 halt during that time. Officials said the cause of the smoke is yet to be ascertained.
Train services between Sahar Road and Aarey were impacted from 4 pm to 5 pm, with operations between Aarey JVLR and Sahar Road suspended for around 30 minutes, while services on other stretches continued as usual. Normal operations resumed after the situation was controlled.
