The chargesheet revealed that former Magadh University vice chancellor Rajendra Prasad and his subordinates were involved in financial irregularities worth ₹18 crore in the two universities
The special vigilance unit (SVU) has sought prosecution sanction from the governor-cum-chancellor against former Magadh University vice chancellor Rajendra Prasad and 29 others, for their alleged involvement in a graft case. The SVU also submitted a 1000-page chargesheet against them.
SVU additional director general (ADG) NH Khan said the 1000-page chargesheet includes the details of disproportionate income of Prasad, who is presently under judicial custody, during his tenure as MU VC and acting VC of Veer Kunwar Singh University (Ara), which is ten times more than his known source of income.
