India vs West Indies 3rd T20 Highlights: Suryakumar Yadav's blistering knock takes India to seven-wicket win

Well that was all about Suryakumar Yadav. 76 of the very best runs off just 44 balls. So good was he that India were not affected by Shreyas Iyer's below par strike rate at the other end and it turned out to be the partnership that took the game away from the West Indies. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has a “back spasm”, the BCCI informs us, which tells us nothing more than what everyone saw when he walked off the field. India will hope that their captain can continue in this series. 

They need nine to win off the last two overs, Deepak Hooda and Rishabh Pant in the middle. It is only a  matter of time now. 

One all-rounder to another. Pandya deceived by the slow ball from Holder, goes for a pull and edges it to the keeper.

Not perfectly timed from Pant but it has gone over midwicket and dribbles to the boundary. Pant has reached 26 off 20, India need 19 to win off 23. 

Suryakumar's magic show has ended but he may have won India the match already. Full and wide from Drakes, Suryakumar tries to drag it leg side again but ends up holing out at fine leg. The Basseterre crowd has got to witness a modern-day classic of an innings from SKY. India would be hoping that he can keep up this blistering form until the end of the T20 World Cup. It's all looking too good to be true at the moment.

Good length outside off from Drakes that is angling away, Surya walks towards the length, gets down on one knee and sends the ball fine for a four. This is superhuman batting. 

Akeal Hosein actually bowls a no ball, something that he can't believe understandably. And to make things worse, Pant mows the free hit ball over long on. Pant has raced to 16 off 10 balls already and West Indies are in all sorts of trouble if they are going to get two-inform batters firing from both ends now. 

Pant with quite a brilliant shot for four off the last ball of that over. Short outside off from McCoy but not wide enough, Pant actually turns on his toes and pulls it emphatically in front of square. 

Shreyas's struggle comes to an end. He goes down the track to generate some pace, misses it completely and is stumped. That is quite a pitiable innings from Iyer. Partnership between him and SKY ends on 86 off 59, off which Iyer scored just 24 off 27.

The partnership between these two is on 78 off 51 balls and Shreyas has scored 19 of those runs in a whopping 24 balls. We are seeing two batters at very different ends of the form spectrum here.

Cue the background score of The Matrix franchise please. This is some extraordinary batting from Surya. Back of a length on off from Alzarri Joseph, SKY drops to his knees, bends backwards and ramps it over the keeper. He almost had his back parallel tom the ground when he connected. 

What an innings this is. A nonchalant sweep of Hosein goes all the way and gets SKY to his half century. 

And he also has the fielding positions working nicely for him. Short on off from Holder, Suryakumar goes for the pull in front of square. He would have been out if Brandon King was standing at the boundary ropes but he was standing inside and so SKY gets the maximum.

SKY powers that down the ground. It takes one bounce just in front of the ropes and goes over. He has raced to 40 off 23 balls. 

India are going at a very good click at the moment and have arguably made the most of this powerplay. SKY has been the main aggressor and is in 33 off 17 balls, Shreyas is on 11 off 14. 

The flashing blade of Suryakumar Yadav! Drakes overpitches it a touch and Suryakumar drives it to the boundary. The next delivery is short and wide and he slashes at the ball to send it over point to the boundary again. India 49/0 in 5 overs. 

It seems the Indian captain has pulled a muscle near his waist or back while trying for a leg side swipe two bals earlier. This is quite extraoardinary. India have had a ridiculous schedule recently but Rohit is one of those players who have been rested for quite a lot of it.

Short from Alzarri Joseph and Rohit takes out his trademark pull. He is almost caught at the boundary by Drakes but he can't hold on to the ball. He had to jump and met the ball at full stretch so it was a difficult catch. 

Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav open for India, Obed McCoy with the first over but this time, Rohit takes a single off the first over instead of getting caught at short third man. Suryakumar then hits two fours. 

Hetmyer also fell to a run out in that last over and so a good last over in the end from Arshdeep Singh, just 10 runs given. But this is quite a competitive total and India have a tricky chase in their hands. 

Powell hits two fours off the first two balls of the last over bowled by Arshdeep Singh. Goes for the big one again off the third delivery but this time, it comes off the toe end of the bat. He holes out at the advertising patch behind the bowler.

Hetmyer makes a big finish to the over and all of a sudden, Avesh has given away 12 runs in that. He tries to go back to the wide yorker but misses the length. Sends the ball back over the bowler's head for another maximum. West Indies 154/3 in 19 overs

Avesh veers off the plan of bowling wide yorkers, sends in a slow delivery outside off and Hetmyer is on to it like a rash. 

Well this is not what West Indies would have wanted. Two of their most explosive batters in the middle and we are into the second last over and they simply cannot do better than singles. Avesh Khan bowling the second last and he is following up in the good work done by Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. 

A six off the first ball of the 17th over and then gone. Slower ball from Bhuvi and Mayers tries to pull. He gets a top edge that floats safely into the hands of Rishabh Pant.
