India vs West Indies 3rd T20 Highlights: Suryakumar Yadav's blistering knock takes India to seven-wicket win

West Indies have a good platform but they really have to get going now. They are now 108/2 off 15 overs, Mayers is on 61 off 45 balls while Powell is on 1 off 2. 

Pooran welcomes Bhuvneshwar back by sending the ball sailing over his head. West Indies are 107/1 and Pooran is on 22 off 21. Time for him to get a move on. 

Ashwin misses his length and Mayers is on to it in a jiffy. Pulls him deep into the stands and reaches his second T20I half century. 

Steady does it from Mayers and Pooran. They are just dealing in singles and an occassional boundary at the moment, minimising risk. 

The run rate has dropped off after that first wicket, and after the field spread of course. Captain Nicholas Pooran is out there and he has scored just three runs in eight balls. Mayers, meanwhile, has reached 40 in 32. 

Cleans him up! Pandya gives India the breakthrough and that is also his 50th T20I wicket. King looking for the big slog with the wind but Pandya takes pace off the ball. It smashes into the leg stump which goes off cartwheeling.

King and Mayers have looked as steady as ever. King is on 15 off 17 balls, Mayers on 29 off 19 and India will want to break this partnership as quickly as possible. 

Spoils a brilliant sixth over from Arshdeep. He has bowled four dots so far, the last one being a pinpoint yorker outside off. He tries that again but this time he misses it, King presents the full face of the bat and the ball just shoots back down the ground for four.  

Hardik Pandya bowling the fifth and he had kept two fielders for the hook before bowling the 2nd ball of his over. Hook is what Mayers goes for and the ball sails over the two fielders for six. What a start Mayers has given the West Indies. 

Well India have burnt a review after Rishabh Pant arm-wrestled Rohit Sharma into asking for a review. Attempted bouncer from Bhuvi for the fifth ball of the fourth over that doesn't rise up and cramps Mayers up as he tries the ramp. The ball goes close to the glove before reaching Pant, who is almost the only one to appeal. When the umpire shakes his head, Pant makes the DRS signal himself and asks Rohit to take it. The Indian captain obliges and replays show that there was no contact after all. 

Avesh goes short next ball, Mayers anticipates it and rocks back to pull him over square leg for a maximum. Sensational stuff from Mayers so far. 

Avesh bowls the third and Mayers bludgeons the second ball into the midwicket fence. Brandon King had hit a four in the previous over and so this has been a good start for the West Indies. 

Deepak Hooda bowls the first over and just one run comes out of it. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowling first change. 

"Wicket got slow in the second innings yesterday, so want to put up a respectable first innings score here. We utilised the conditions well with the ball. We continuously looked for wickets and certain things went our way yesterday. (Left-arm seam v India) We saw how Obed and Akeal bowl well yesterday. Something we thought about as well. We have an extra left arm seamer today instead of Odean Smith. Dominic Drakes is in."

“We will field first, not because of the conditions, but this is what we wanted to do as a team. We want to capitalize on the powerplay, this is a small ground, a six hitting ground, but the average score isn't high so we need to keep that in mind as well. The guys have been given the chance to express themselves, so the high-risk shots come into play, but we do understand that. I don't know about that (if India has a weakness against left-arm pace). As a team we want to improve in all aspects of the game, but in the last few series, the left-arm seamers have done well against us. I don't see that as a concern. It's not that the guys are struggling, it happens when you're trying to score quickly. But we do need to understand when we come up against certain bowlers, we just want to come out and express ourselves, that's what we want to continue doing. Rohit Sharma has finally won the toss and chosen to bowl first. 

Any T20 batting lineup with the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell is intimidating but the West Indies have for some reason not been able to get the best of these players. Hetmyer has scored just 14 and 6 runs so far in this series, Powell has scored just 5 and 14 runs so far. 

Avesh Khan had a rather forgettable outing bowling the final over in the 2nd T20I. He bowled a no ball first up and then got hit for a six and a four and the match came to an end right there. 

Just a few hours separate the end of the 2nd T20I and the start of the third and so there are no changes to the pitch apparently. Generally, this makes it a little more difficult for the batters to score freely. 

They had just 139 runs to defend and it looked West Indies are cruising to victory for much of the first 12 overs. But India kept chipping away at their batting lineup after that and the dismissals of Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer seemed to hurt the hosts the most. Opener Brandon King, who scored a masterful 68 off 52 balls. 

Obed McCoy started the match by dismissing Rohit Sharma off the very first ball of the match. He ended with figures of 6/17, which was the best by a West Indies bowler in T20Is. 

Hard to see India making any changes considering the match is being played on the same ground as the 2nd T20I and Rohit clearly said he wants to provide a long rope to the younger players. If anything, India might just opt to rest Bhuvneshwar Kumar at some point this series but unlikely it will happen at this point.

Just to recap on the drama that happened before the second T20I, Cricket West Indies said that there was a delay in the arrival of baggage into St Kitts and Nevis - the first T20I was played in Trinidad - because of which the match had initially been pushed back by two hours. Just minutes before the toss was scheduled to take place, news came in that the match has been pushed back by three hours. All this came on the heels of the development that the members of both teams have not received their US visas for the last two matches of the series.
