IPL 2022, GT vs DC highlights: Shubman Gill, Lockie Ferguson lead Gujarat Titans to memorable win over Delhi Capitals

That's it! A fantastic performance by Gujarat Titans. They have beaten the Delhi Capitals by 14 runs to register their second win on the trot. 

Mohammed Shami to Khaeel Ahmed: OUT! He has got another. He is on a hat-trick now. A back of a length at pace, way way too good for Khaleel. All he could manage was get an outside edge to the keeper. This is finishing on a hurry now. Titans 1 wicket away from victory. 

Mohammed Shami to Rovman Powell: OUT! Mohammed Shami traps Rovman Powell right in front. Is this the last nail in the coffin for DC? They opted for a review more in hope. That was never going too miss the stumps and it didn't. A fast in-dipper from Shami, Powell went for a big heave and ended up missing it altogether. 

Rashid Khan to Shardul Thakur: OUT! DC also lose a review. Very good decision by the umpire. It was a Rashid Khan special googly that hurried the batsman and thudded into his pads. Thakur played all around it.

Lockie Ferguson to Axar Patel: OUT! Ferguson gets his man! What a night he is having. The slower ball does the trick. Axar, who had just hit two fours in the previous two balls, gets himself in a tangle and is out caught down the leg side.

DC 126/6 after after 14.5 overs. 

Back-to-back boundaries for Axar Patel off Lockie Ferguson. The first one slightly fortuitous as Hardik Pandya let it slip between his legs  but there was no doubt about the next one. Axar pulled it away for his second four.

Lockie Ferguson to Rishabh Pant: OUT! What a bowling change, what a bouncer. Everything going Gujarat's way. A 145 kmph bouncer and Pant did not even have time to complete his pull shot. He ends up skying a simple catch to fine leg, where Abhinav Manohar made no mistake. This is a huge moment in the game. Pant walks back for 43.

Rahul Tewatia to Rovman Powell: SIX! Dangerous dangerous player when he gets going is this Rovman Powell. And he just showed why. Puts the pressure right back on Tewatia by slog sweeping him over long on for a six.

Lucky dismissal and Gujarat needed this big time! On the pads, Pant works it to square leg. Yadav is off for a run but is sent back as it goes straight to the fielder. Lalit slips as he turns, Abhinav Manohar throws it to the bowler who whips the bails off. it is taken upstairs. Replays show that Shankar did step on the stumps before he caught the ball but only one bail fell. He dislodged the other bail with the ball in his hand. OUT flashes on the big screen, Pant is not happy with the decision but he has to walk back.

Vijay Shankar to Rishabh Pant: FOUR! Welcome to the bowling crease for Shankar. Not the one he would like though. It was a slower delivery, which was picked up early by Pant. He positioned himself nicely and cut it between the short third man and point fielder.

Rashid Khan to Lalit Yadav: SIX! What a shot that. He targetted the short boundary and it goes all the way. On middle, the slog sweep is out, it goes just over the mid-wicket fence.

Varun Aaron to Rishabh Pant: FOUR! Belted over point. Pant picked the slower one early, got into position and cut in with no intention of keeping it down. Aaron needs to be careful with his line. 

Rashid Khan's first over yields 8 runs. One gets the feeling, his next 3 overs will play a crucial role in deciding the outcome of the match.

Lockie Ferguson to Rishabh Pant: FOUR! A shortish delivery around 142 kmph and it has been pulled away by Pant at the rate of knots. What a player Pant is. This is going to be very interesting now. 

A deadly bouncer from Mohammed Shami to end the sixth over of the DC chase. 9 runs from it. Delhi Capitals have reached 43/1 at the end of the powerplay. This powerplay has belonged to Gujarat's Hardik Pandya and Lockie Ferguson. 

Lockie Ferguson to Mandeep Singh: OUT! Raw pace and bounce, he followed the batter and Mandeep's attempted ramp shot ends up in an outside edge to the keeper. This is a briliant over from Ferguson and DC, just like in the previous over, have lost their top three very early.

Lockie Ferguson to Prithvi Shaw: OUT! First-ball wicket for Ferguson too, just like his captain Hardik. It was a short delivery on middle. Shaw looks to pull it but gets a huge top edge. The ball goes in the air towards deep backward square leg. Vijay Shankar there settles uinder it and takes a fine catch. So already the quality of Gujarat bowling is showing with two early wickets and Delhi in trouble now.

Hardik Pandya to Mandeep Singh: FOUR! Ruins the over. Hardik banged it in and Mandeep pulls out his short-arm pull shot that goes past the mid on fielder for a boundary.

Mohammed Shami to Mandeep Singh: FOUR! Pitched up from Shami and Mandeep gives it the full swing, slices a bit and it almost carries over the cover boundary. One bounce four.

Mohammed Shami to Mandeep Singh: FOUR! A big heave across the line from Mandeep and he gets enough bat on it to carry it to the boundary. DC batters trying to put Shami under some pressure by taking the attack to him.

Hardik Pandya to Tim Seifert: OUT! First-ball wicket for Hardik Pandya. Tim Seifert departs for 3. It was a sift dismissal and even Pandya had a hard time believing it but he won't complain at all.
