Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam hit crucial half-centuries as Pakistan defeated Ireland by five wickets in the one-off Test in Dublin on Tuesday. After being set a target of 160 to win, Pakistan were reduced to 14/3, but Haq (74*) and Azam (59) shared a 126-run stand to take Pakistan to safety. Earlier, Kevin O’Brien created history for Ireland by scoring the nation’s first Test century. However, the dashing Ireland batsman got out cheaply on day 5 and Mohammad Abbas picked up 5/66 to bowl Ireland out for 339, setting Pakistan a target of 160.
