India thrashed New Zealand by 186 runs to qualify for the ICC Women’s World Cup semi-finals on Saturday. After being put in to bat, India scored 265/7 in their 50 overs. Mithali Raj slammed her sixth hundred and shared solid partnerships with Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy, who scored fifties, as India scored a strong total against New Zealand. The Indian women’s cricket team, led by Mithali Raj, needed to win against New Zealand for the last semi-final spot and they did after bowling out New Zealand for 79 in 25.3 overs.
