Hardik Tamore has established himself as a reliable wicketkeeper-batter in Mumbai's domestic setup, combining his work behind the stumps with a technically sound batting game. A right-handed batter, Tamore made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy before going on to make his T20 debut in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and his List A debut in the 2021-22 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In the 2021-22 first-class season, he notched up a brilliant 115 against Uttar Pradesh in the semi-final, helping Mumbai reach the final. He began to make a bigger impact in the longer format during the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, finishing with 262 runs from six matches, including a 114, helping Mumbai to the title. That campaign provided an important foundation as he continued to compete for a place in a strong Mumbai batting and wicketkeeping unit, gaining valuable experience alongside established names in the side.
Tamore has also remained a regular presence in Mumbai's white-ball setup. He featured in the Mumbai T20 League, representing Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs in 2025, while also being part of Mumbai's squads for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The 2025-26 season brought another encouraging phase in his career. Tamore scored 62 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before producing a much stronger campaign in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he accumulated 186 runs at a strike rate of 117.72. His standout effort came against Uttarakhand, when he struck 93 off 82 balls, an innings that included seven fours and two sixes.
His performances kept him firmly in Mumbai's plans across formats, and he was part of their Ranji Trophy campaign in early 2026, before returning to the Mumbai T20 League. He was also included in the 2026 IPL auction pool as an uncapped wicketkeeper-batter, underlining the wider recognition he had earned through his domestic performances. Later in the year, he was named in the Mumbai squad for the Ranji Trophy 2026/27.
