Rohit Sharma back from three-month injury layoff, to play in Vijay Hazare trophy
Opening batsman Rohit Sharma is ready to take the field after successful rehabilitation, and is set to play Vijay Hazare match for Mumbai on Saturday
Following a successful surgery and rehabilitation, Rohit Sharma is set to return to the field, playing for Mumbai in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match.
Rohit Sharma suffered a thigh injury during India’s fifth ODI against New Zealand last November. He has been out of action ever since, after undergoing a surgery on the injured thigh as part of his recuperation.

The batter took to Twitter to let his fans know that he is ready to return to action in Mumbai’s matches against Andhra (March 4) and Goa (March 6) in Group C of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

“Finally done with rehab,Can’t wait to play Vijay Hazare on 4th & 6th. Thank you to everyone who helped me get here.Counting down the minutes (sic),” he tweeted.
The explosive opening batsman, who scored an ODI double century against Australia (209) at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2013 and followed it up with a massive knock of 264 against Sri Lanka at Kolkata’s Eden Garden, received a reply from his wife Ritika Sajdeh, who joked that she would have to start biting her nails again.
Playing along, Rohit joked that her nail biting was part of his success story.
