Following the win, Dhawan was asked the reason for his changed game considering he didn’t get off to a good start in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich league. Dhawan came up with a rather funny answer and said he has become a vegetarian and that might have got something to do with it.

“I have become a vegetarian, so mostly vegetable stuff (laughs). I have changed my mind-set from the previous games and it’s been going good for me,” Dhawan told the official broadcasters after the end of the match.

‘I have been able to give good starts to my team and I am happy. I would say from the Bangalore game, I changed my mind-set. I realized that I needed to play more aggressively,” he added.

Earlier, in the match, Dhawan got Delhi off to a rollicking start with a barrage of fours and sixes, adding 72 runs for the opening wicket with Prithvi Shaw in only 7.3 overs. But it was Pant, who played the most influential role in DC’s win, finishing it off with a six.
