DUSU polls to be held on September 12

The last date for submitting of nomination papers for the students’ union posts is September 4.

Delhi University on Saturday announced dates for election to the posts of the varsity’s students’ union. The election will be held on 12 September, said a statement from the university. The date and venue for the counting of votes will be announced later, it said. With the announcement of the polls, the model code of conduct has also set in.

The last date for submitting of nomination papers for the students’ union posts is September 4. The nominations must reach the chief election officer by 3pm. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be done the same day.

“Students can withdraw nominations by September 5 noon at the CEO’s office,” the statement said.

The time of voting for morning classes has been fixed between 8.30 am and 1 pm, while evening colleges can vote between 3pm and 7.30 pm.
