Good grades call for a party, right? With that spirit, restaurants in the city were quick to come up with a host of discounts for students, soon after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced results of Class 12 on Sunday. If you’ve scored 100% in any subject, you get discounted food and desserts at Cafe Indian Delight, Kirti Nagar. MD Ankit Aggarwal says, “We’re offering a discount of 20% plus a dessert for the next 100 days.” Scored over 90%? You get a chaat platter at Rs 99 at all outlets of Imly in Delhi. Prankster in Gurgaon, too, has a deal for you. “We’re happy to announce a discount of 95% on our innovative Fatir Pizza (flaky Egyptian pizza). The order is valid till June 1,” says owner Inderjeet Singh Banga.
At Molecule, Gurgaon, you can pick a starter of your choice and avail 15% discount. “We are offering unlimited pizza and mocktails at Rs 500 from 12pm to 6pm (valid till June 1) ,” says co-owner Sahil Sambhi. There’s lots in the 80s bracket, too — summer mocktail at Rs 99 at Nukkad Cafe in SDA Market for those with 85% (valid till June 1), whereas students with 80% and more get a special drink named Toppers Junkyard Mocktail at a 10% discount at Junkyard Cafe in Connaught Place.
Not a high-scorer? There are also deals for those who have passed their board exams. While select Gola Sizzlers outlets are offering a welcome drink (valid till June 4), you get a 20% off at the restaurant Latest Recipe at Le Meridien, Gurgaon, and a 15% at Hotmess, Townhouse Café (CP), Zerruco (Chanakyapuri). While not all restaurants will ask for your marksheet, it’s best to carry it along with your student ID.
The students, no wonder, are delighted. “It’s great that restaurants are giving cool discounts. Now I can take my friends out,” says Saloni Chhabra, who scored a 98%.
