Video footage of the incident shows the man trying to haul himself onto the platform when the train begins moving, knocking into him.

The train immediately brakes, and the man regains his balance before falling between the train and the tracks.

ANI reported that the man was identified as 21-year-old Mayur Patel. The incident occurred at Shastri Nagar metro, which is on the Red line.

On being questioned, Patel reportedly said he crossed the tracks because he did not know how to get to the other platform. He was later fined by the Delhi Metro authorities, ANI reported.
