Man tied to tree, beaten to death over land dispute in Delhi

The family members of the deceased alleged that 20-25 people tied him to a tree and brutally thrashed him with sticks.

A man was killed and two others injured after they were brutally beaten up by a group of over 20 men over a land dispute in southeast Delhi’s Tughlakabad area, police said on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Jeetender (35), was called by the accused for a meeting on Friday where he and his two companions were allegedly attacked, they added.

Jeetender’s family members alleged that 20-25 people tied him to a tree and brutally thrashed him with sticks.

Police said the matter was being investigated.
