NEW DELHI: Loreto School, Convent Delhi Cantt, hosted the JPIC national general meeting titled ‘Urja-2016’ which was attended by staff and student delegates of fourteen Loreto Schools across the country. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Sunita Narain, National award winner and alumni of the school. Provincial Leader of South East Asia, Sr. Anita Braganza and JPIC first counselor and link person, Sr. Sabrina were also present at the event. During the meeting, a panel of esteemed environmental experts shared their views with the delegates on the control of climate change and its impact. The event culminated with all Loreto institutions committing themselves to achieve two actionable goals by the year 2020 namely, planting one lakh trees and making the schools carbon neutral.
