16-year-old gang raped; both culprits held
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped in west Delhi and two youth were arrested in connection with the crime, police said on Monday.
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped in west Delhi and two youth were arrested in connection with the crime, police said on Monday.
Ravi Kumar (20) and his friend Ravi (19) allegedly raped the victim at an isolated location in Ranhola area on Saturday night, police said.
Kumar, who is well known to her, police said, had allegedly lured the victim to the spot.
Kumar allegedly took her to the spot on the pretext of taking her for a ride on his bike.
Ravi, who was also ready present at the spot, joined Kumar in allegedly raping the girl.
The duo, while perpetrating the crime, also allegedly beat up the victim as she resisted and tried to raise alarm, a police officer said.
The victim's family later came to know about the incident after she returned home from the spot late at night and she narrated the incident to them, police said.
The family reported the matter to police on Sunday and a case was arrested against the two youths, who were later arrested.
