2 killed as building collapses in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar
Two women were killed and a man was injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Sadar Bazar area in north Delhi on Monday.
Two women were killed and a man was injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Sadar Bazar area in north Delhi on Monday.

“The incident took place at around 11.45am in Pahar Dhiraj area of Sadar Bazar. Two women have died in the building collapse,” said deputy commissioner of police (north) Sindhu Pillai.
According to a Delhi fire service official, two women and a man were pulled out of the rubble and taken to a nearby hospital where the women were declared dead. The deceased have been identified as Rani, 33, and Pushpa, 53. Both of them were labourers working in the building.
Police said the building is owned by one Swaraj who was not present at the building when portion of two of the rooms collapsed.
More people were feared trapped, TV channels reported.
A case is being registered in connection with the incident. Civic agencies have also been informed about the building collapse.
Two people died in October, 2013, as a three-storey residential building collapsed in north Delhi's Azad Maidan Market locality.
