While Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy will flag off a train from Yamuna Bank Metro station, UP chief minister Mayawati is expected to give the green signal to another set of trains from Noida Sector 32 City Centre station around the same time.

The 13-km long section would be inaugurated on November 12 and it would be open to public on November 13.

A senior official from Gautam Budh Nagar district said the official programme of the chief minister has yet to arrive.

Senior DMRC officials said there would be no formal function to start the section.

"It would be a ceremonial flag off," the DMRC spokesperson said.

A part of Metro's phase II expansion plans, Yamuna Bank - Noida section is first corridor connecting a national capital region (NCR) town with Delhi. The corridor has 10 stations - four in Delhi and six in Noida. With the opening of this section, DMRC officials expect additional 53,000 commuters travelling on this network every day. Over nine lakh people travel in metro every day.
