The death of a 22-year-old in a road mishap triggered protests in Faridabad on Friday. Mohit Bhatia was killed when a recklessly-driven Safari crashed against a divider in the National Highway-3 area in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

The death of a 22-year-old in a road mishap triggered protests in Faridabad on Friday. Mohit Bhatia was killed when a recklessly-driven Safari crashed against a divider in the National Highway-3 area in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

Bhatia, two others and the kin of a Haryana cabinet minister were in the vehicle when the accident took place.

The family of the deceased youth staged a protest at the busy BK Chowk on Friday. They sought the arrest of the three persons and a thorough probe into the incident.

The incident occurred at midnight after the four persons — believed to be friends — were travelling in a Tata Safari. All of them were allegedly drunk.
