The south district police on Sunday arrested four persons for allegedly being involved in vehicle theft cases. The accused are members of an inter-state gang, police said.

They have been identified as Satender, 22, Krishan Kumar, 31, Kamal Kumar, 24 and Jitender Aggarwal, 23. They used to pose as mediapersons to avoid police action, said a police official.

Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south), said, “The accused used to install a camera in their car. In case of checking, they posed as mediapersons and told the police that they were returning after covering some event or incident. We have recovered 13 cars and a motorcycle from them.” They were arrested by the Malviya Nagar police.
