A 52-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in a park in the Shahpur Jat area of south Delhi on Monday morning. The deceased identified as Virender Singh was a Class IV employee in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

He was working as a toll tax collector.

“Residents out for a morning walk noticed the body and informed the police. We rushed to the spot and took the body to a hospital,” a senior police officer said. Police have ruled out any foul play and claimed it to be a case of suicide. No suicide note was found from the spot.
In another incident, a 63-year-old man hung himself in the Mayapuri area of west Delhi on Sunday night. The victim identified as Ramesh Chander was a local trader.
“He was found hanging inside the room of his factory in Mayapuri. His family lives in Rajouri Garden,” a senior police officer said. Chander’s wife got suspicious when he didn’t respond to her call.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. htc
