Delhi Police have arrested a 70-year-old man for supplying illegal firearms to criminal gangs.
Delhi Police have arrested a 70-year-old man for supplying illegal firearms to criminal gangs. The man, identified as Harpal Singh, had lost his leg in an accident seven years ago.

“Singh was apprehended from Zakhira bus stand in west Delhi on Wednesday evening when he alighted from a bus,” V Renganathan, additional CP (west) said.
Police have recovered nine illegal country-made pistols and many live cartridges from him.
“During investigation of cases related to firearms, it came to light that firearms used in crime were of same type and that a gang is active in west Delhi which supplies it to criminals. These weapons were brought from Uttar Pradesh,” Renganathan added.
Singh told police that he is into farming but was never satisfied with his income. He came in contact with criminal gangs of Uttar Pradesh and started supplying arms and ammunition to these gangs. In the beginning, he used to supply weapons from his native place.
Singh allegedly used to purchase country-made pistols for R2,500 each and sold it for R5,000. He also supplied foreign-made pistols for Rs 30,000.
