He referred to the episode during the July 22 vote last year when three BJP MPs displayed bundles of currency notes amount to Rs one crore (Rs 10 million) claiming they were being offered as bribe to support the government.
“Advaniji was at the centre of this whole drama,” he told Outlook magazine in an interview.
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar stoutly denied Singh’s charge, saying that it was the UPA government which tried to buy the support of the MPs.
Singh told Dawn News channel that a federal India was the dream of both Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Mahatma Gandhi, but “we let the country be cut up. Patel and Nehru agreed to what Jinnah demanded but in a truncated form”.
