"The parade will start at 9:50am from Vijay Chowk and reach the Red Fort grounds subsequently. The route taken will be Vijay Chowk to Rajpath and India Gate, onwards towards Tilak Marg and Bahadur
Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and finally Red Fort," said Satyendra Garg, joint commissioner of police (traffic).
Police said traffic on roads leading to the route of the parade would be restricted and no traffic from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on the Rajpath would be allowed from 5am to 12.30pm.
Similarly, no cross traffic would be allowed to ply on Rajpath from 9:30am on Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road and the 'C'-Hexagon.
"Similar restrictions will be in place for traffic plying on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg on either side beginning at 10am," said Garg.
Garg also said that alternate plans for traffic movement, however, would be in place for commuters travelling from north to south and from east to west Delhi and will be advertised.
Metro services, however, will remain unaffected though the Central Secretariat and Udyog Vihar stations will remain closed up to 12.30pm.
