After clean chit, suspected Al-Badr men seek release

Two persons, arrested in 2006 on suspicion of being linked to Al-Badr,sought their release before a Delhi court on the ground CBI had filed a closure report in the case giving them a clean chit.

“Both were acting as Intelligence Bureau's informers. The police have framed them as both refused to continue as police informers" said Suffian Siddiqui, counsel for Irshad Ali.

He said Police even failed to produce their fellow travellers as witnesses.
