"I have never been a minister, and have no inclination to be one either. When Dev sahib approached me, I could not refuse. Courtesy him, I have become Home Minister for a day," Singh, who was flanked by the 85-year-old evergreen hero, told reporters in New Delhi.

Singh, 53, who is known for his proximity with Bollywood celebrities, will play the role of Home Minister in the film "Chargesheet". He had earlier played the role of a politician in some Hindi and Bengali movies.

Keeping in mind Singh's "busy schedule" ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Dev Anand agreed to shoot part of the movie at Amar Singh's official residence at Lodhi Estate in New Delhi for two days.
