Anand Jon kin’s plea to Indian govt

Sister and mother of fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander, who was convicted of multiple sex-related offences in a Los Angeles court in November of 2008, pleaded to the Indian government to do the needful to free "an innocent man" and bring him home.

The plea comes at a press conference in New York on Monday after a New York court gave respite to the designer as he pleaded guilty on Thursday on the single count under a plea deal by which prosecutors dropped 48 other charges of sexually assaulting nine young models.

Sashi Abraham, Anand's mother, and sister Sanjana Jon dubbed these past few years as a long battle for justice and truth to prevail.

"My brother is not guilty. Our government should act. The charges ranged from attempted kiss to touching the thigh. Rape test was negative. He even passed a lie detector test," a teary Sanjana said.
