Jaitley was shifted to AIIMS from the Max Hospital in Saket. Doctors at the hospital said that though he had recovered from respiratory infection, he had been advised further rest for a few more days to avoid relapse of the infection.

Jaitley was admitted to Max Hospital in Saket last week for a routine check-up following his recent operation for diabetes. He had successfully undergone a planned elective laparoscopic procedure for diabetes management earlier this month.
