Bail plea by rape accused

Mukesh and Vinay Sharma, two of the four accused, pleaded for bail before additional sessions judge Yogesh Khanna.

The trial is being conducted behind closed doors.

Vinay Sharma’s counsel AP Singh told the judge that his client is a BA first-year student and is keen on continuing his studies.

Mukesh’s counsel ML Sharma told the court that his client is willing to attend the post-death rituals of his older brother Ram Singh, also an accused, who allegedly committed suicide in his cell in Tihar Jail on March 11.
