When the driver of the bus — feeling something was bumpy — got down to check, he was shocked to see a man entangled at the bottom of the vehicle. “Terrified, he fled. We are yet to find him,” said a police officer.

The incident took place on Press Enclave road in south Delhi around 8 a.m.

The police said the man’s body kept rotating with the axle. His identity is not known yet. “We don’t know how he got there. It was not an accident as his body was not crushed under the wheels. It was hanging on to the axle. This leads us to believe that he was trying to steal some motor parts. Had he been sleeping below the bus he would not have been entangled in the axle that is about half feet above the ground,” the police said.
