Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta said the BJP would not tolerate any such acts by its members. "The BJP will adopt a zero-tolerance against such people so that nobody can charge BJP with protecting any criminal element," he said.

Attray was arrested after a woman filed a rape complaint on Thursday. He has been booked under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (intending to insult the modesty of any woman) and 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent).
