BJP MP Satyapal Singh stopped for travelling in even-numbered car

Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Mumbai Police commissioner Satyapal Singh was stopped for travelling in an even-numbered car on Friday, even as Delhi began its traffic rationing scheme to curb air pollution in the national capital.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Mumbai Police commissioner Satyapal Singh was stopped for travelling in an even-numbered car on Friday, even as Delhi began its traffic rationing scheme to curb air pollution in the national capital.

The Delhi government is testing a formula where private cars will be allowed on the roads only on alternate days from January 1-15, depending on whether their licence plates end in an even or an odd number.

Singh’s vehicle was not issued a challan, but the traffic police handed him a leaflet of rules of the car rationing rules.
