Police received the call at around 10 am that a bomb has been planted at Nirvachan Sadan, the EC headquarters, at Ashoka Road, a senior police official said.

Immediately, bomb squad and bomb disposal teams were rushed to the spot, but they did not find any explosive.

"All precautionary measures were taken after we received the call. The entire premises was checked but nothing was found," the official said.

After the routine check, the call was declared as hoax, he added.
