The flight, which was expected to take off around 1.30 pm, was aborted following the phone call to the airline's call centre, a senior airport official told IANS.
"All 115 passengers were immediately evacuated and the aircraft was put at the bay. The search operations inside the aircraft have begun," said the airport spokesperson.
Police are yet to trace the caller, added the official.
ULFA or the United Liberation Front of Asom is a dominant rebel group in the northeast. Three of its prominent leaders who had been based in Bangladesh were arrested Friday by the Indian authorities after their surrender.
