SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav will be seated next to BSP’s Dara Singh Chauhan according to the allotment of seats to Members of Parliament by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

The two will probably be shouting into each others ears now each time a contentious issue relating to UP comes up.

The situation is not quite so piquant for RJD’s Lalu Prasad who has JD-S leader HD Deve Gowda for company after the Congress decided to accommodate the two senior leaders from out of its quota of front row seats.

Besides Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Pranab Mukerjee, Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, P Chidambaram and Mamata Bannerjee will sit in that order in the front row of the Treasury benches.

The Opposition line-up includes Deputy Speaker Karia Munda, Leader of Opposition LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi and Jaswant Singh

Gowda’s son and former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy will share space with his predecessor N Dharam Singh.
