Call girl racket busted in east Delhi, 6 held

The Delhi Police have busted a alleged call girl racket operating in East Delhi. Four women and two pimps have been arrested for the racket.

The arrested women are from Delhi, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttrakhand and Nepal. The pimps include a man identified as Gaurav Anand and a woman named Sonu Bangalan.

“Acting on a tip off that a sex racket was running from Madhu Vihar in east Delhi, a decoy was sent who met Anand. The pimp took him near a Hyundai Accent car where a lady pimp using the alias of Sonu Bangalan was present along with four girls,” Ashok Chand, DCP (crime) said. The decoy struck a deal for Rs 7,000 and part payment was made to them. After this, a raid was conducted and six were arrested.

Sonu Bangalan hails from West Bengal but resides at Madhu Vihar.

Anand was earlier a driver in a call centre and came in contact with the woman pimp. Both had been running the call girl racket for the last 3 years.

“They operated in the Trans Yamuna area,” Chand said.
