The incident occurred late on Wednesday night when three youths — Manish, 24, Raju, 25, and Deepak, 25, — were traveling close to the canal running near the Delhi-Faridabad border in a Maruti Zen.

The car abruptly swerved and fell into the canal.

Local residents swung into action when they were alerted about the accident.

Though the car got stuck on the banks of the canal, two of the occupants were drowned and washed away.
Locals of Faridabad on Thursday found the body of Raju, a class 12 student, near Kheripul. The body of Deepak was fished out near Sector 55 police station in Faridabad.

The police sent the bodies in BK Hospital for post-mortem.
"Manish is unconsciousness and under treatment. Once he is conscious, his statement will be recorded to know who exactly was driving the car', cops said.
