The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Border Security Force (BSF)’s chief medical officer, along with his aide — a head constable with the paramilitary organization — for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe to certify a job applicant fit on health grounds.

Dr SK Shah was arrested in Delhi by a CBI anti-corruption unit while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the job applicant — the complainant.
“The doctor had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000, of which Rs 20,000 was to be paid as part-payment,” said a CBI officer who is not authorized to talk to the media.
Head constable Narendra Kumar had earlier contacted the complainant on “behalf of the Dr Shah” to demand the bribe the officer added.
