The premier investigating agency said they only took “some help” from Noida Police and ironed out anomalies to corroborate and verify their findings with what the initial interrogators found.

On Friday morning, eight policemen from Noida, including some from the Sector 20 police station where the original murder case was registered, came to the CBI headquarters in south Delhi.

CBI officially confirmed they asked the policemen what clothes Krishna was wearing when he was detained initially. The CBI wants to find if there were some clues that the police missed then.

A source, however, said the CBI wanted to cross check the version Krishna gave them with that given to the police initially.

“We want to know what exactly did he tell the police then and why wasn’t he arrested. As per our investigation, we have enough against Krishna that indicate his hand in the crime,” said an officer.

Dr. Rajesh Talwar was also subjected to a second lie detector test on Friday wherein he was questioned at the forensic laboratory from 10 a.m. till about 5 p.m. “He chose to keep quiet,” said a source.

A CBI source said besides asking the same questions posed to him earlier, they also asked a few new ones related to those findings revealed by the interrogation of Krishna, Rajkumar, Vijay Mandal and the Durani couple.

Forensic test reports of the digital camera that Dr. Rajesh Talwar gifted Aarushi a few hours before the murder also came in on Friday but CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar said, “they wouldn’t be revealed to journalists”.

“More than 12 pictures had been deleted from this camera and we wanted to check if they could be retrieved or know when exactly were they deleted,” said a source.
