According to sources, it is also likely that they will inspect buildings in other east Delhi areas. Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials helped with the inspection. The probe report is expected to come out by next week. The teams also visited the other sealed and vacated buildings constructed by the same builder.

Earlier, MCD was supposed to submit the probe report by Friday but it sought extension to the deadline citing that the probe needed more time.

The MCD chief vigilance officer, who is supposed to head the probe, told the municipal commissioner that there was need for a thorough investigation into all aspects of the matter and he needed time for that.
