The Centre rushed about 400 CRPF personnel to Maharashtra to be deployed in the communally sensitive Malegaon where tensions have spiralled following the bomb blast.

The Centre on wednesday rushed about 400 CRPF personnel to Maharashtra to be deployed in the communally sensitive Malegaon where tensions have spiralled following the bomb blast on Monday.

While two companies of Central Paramilitary Force (CRPF) have already reached the state, two more would reach there soon, sources said.

A company of paramilitary force comprises of about 100 personnel.

Four persons were killed and 79, including 30 policemen and home guards, were injured in Monday night's blast in the power-loom town.
