City sizzles at 44.4°C; saturday may see cloudy sky

The heat on Friday brought no relief to Delhiites as the maximum temperature remained well above normal at 44.4 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature too was recorded as 34.3 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal. This is the highest for the season so far.

There is some respite in store, though. Saturday may see cloudy skies and Sunday may bring along rain and thundershowers.

The temperature on Saturday is expected to hover around 42 degrees while on Sunday, it will be around 41 degrees.

The mornings, however, will remain uncharacteristically warm.

The city has been experiencing a heat wave for the past few days with the maximum temperature climbing to 45.4 degrees on Thursday, the hottest of the season so far.
