The minimum on Saturday was recorded at 7.3 degrees Celsius and the maximum was recorded at 18.9 degree Celsius.

According to the Met Department, the minimum temperature will drop further in the coming few days.

"Whereas Sunday's minimum temperature was recorded at 6.3 degree, that on Monday and Tuesday will be around 5 degrees and 4 degrees, respectively," said a Met department official.

He said that the dip is expected due to cold winds coming from northern India. Mild fog is expected on Monday and Tuesday due to cold nights and warm days.
